Support Our Local Pet Shop with Your Purchase of Fermented Dairy
Exactly how do you know your cat is getting the nutrition they require? You're bombarded with cat food commercials, each alleging that their product is more suitable than the others. Treat Play Love in Grand Forks, ND can help you cut through the complication. We store a wide array of cat foods and can help you in selecting the one that is right for your precious pet.
Your cat is a hunter, descended from a long line of hunters. Wild felines naturally ate a good selection of nutritious food, based on what they could capture. But your domestic cat depends on you to feed them. Treat Play Love has all the foods that will keep them happy and nutritious.
What Nutrients Does Your Cat Need?
For starters, your cat is a carnivore. They need to have meat in some form: animal protein for crucial amino acids. This can be chicken, beef, lamb, fish, or eggs. They need fats to provide energy and help absorb vitamins. Vitamins such as A, D, B1, B2, B3, and B6. Minerals including iron, sodium, and chloride. Also, some cat foods feature carbohydrates, which are digestible and supply energy.
Reading a Cat Food Label
Cat food companies are required to put particular information on their labels, such as ingredients in descending order of weight, and guaranteed analysis, which tells you minimum and maximum amount of nutrients such as fats, protein, and fiber.
Try to find the nutritional adequacy STment, which tells whether the food is intended for an adult cat or a kitten.
Labels have feeding directions, but they're a guideline and not "one size fits all." Your vet's advice takes precedence.
Comprehend food descriptions. There's a big difference between "chicken cat food" and "cat food with chicken." Chicken cat food must be 95 percent chicken, while cat food with chicken can have as little as 3 percent. Food described as "chicken dinner" (or chicken formula) can be anywhere between 25 and 95 percent chicken.
In any case, look at nutrients in addition to ingredients. After all, nutrition is what your cat needs.

I know this says yellow cab but I’m not anymore, nonetheless I called TPL today and the lady that answered the phone was polite and informative with my questions. I found out they support an animal rescue so I went to donate some items and use the self serve dog wash but someone was using it. The ladies in there were very friendly and welcoming they even gave my furbaby treats. The store had a huge variety of treats and food as well as other pet accessories. Will definitely be returning thanks for a pleasant first experience TPL!!
