Our Background in the Grand Forks, ND Pet Industry

Hi! I'm Kelly, owner of Treat Play Love. I moved to Grand Forks in 2003. My biggest passion in life is animals, especially dogs. I got my first dog when I was three years old and he was my constant companion until he passed at the age of 15. My husband Wayne has lived in Grand Forks since 1996. We both grew up in a farm/ranch environment, mine being in Wibaux, Montana, and Wayne in Rugby, North Dakota. We are both true animal lovers at heart.

Since 2008, we have had the opportunity to help with animal rescue.  We began that journey with IMPS (Internet Miniature Pinscher Service) and have since become foster parents for Circle of Friends Animal Shelter and Journey Home Animal Rescue.  We have fostered more than 100 dogs to this point and specialize in mama dogs and litters.  We also enjoy helping to temp foster for dogs who are coming out of unfortunate situations making their way to different rescue organizations.  We have also fostered almost 30 cats at Treat Play Love.  


I am also a volunteer trainer at the Grand Forks Dog Training Club.  I train my dogs in scentwork and do therapy dog work with Luna at many locations around town.  My biggest love, however, is running agility with Tuscan and Tabitha.
